During President Trump’s epic news conference held Thursday he was asked by April Ryan (correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks) if he planned to include any members of the Congressional Black Caucus in discussions about a nationwide urban agenda. The president’s response showed some of his frustrations with the liberal members of the Caucus:
“I tell you what: Do you want to set up the meeting? Do you want to set up the meeting?……Let’s go. Set up a meeting. I would love to meet with the Black Caucus. I think it’s great, the Congressional Black Caucus. I think it’s great.”
The left went crazy over this response. Apparently they saw something that mainstream Americans missed. Ezra Klein of Vox.com Tweeted this after the exchange:

Susan Rice, who served as Obama’s National Security Adviser from 2013-2017, included a link to Klein’s article in one of her Tweets:

In case you haven’t yet taken the time to read Klein’s article, it accuses the President of treating all blacks as a ‘monolith’. Klein seems to suggest that President Trump asked Ryan if she would like to set up a meeting with the Caucus because he somehow thinks that all African-Americans know each other, live in the same neighborhoods, and hang out on the same social scene. Klein essentially alleges that Trump thinks all blacks are the same….equally reprehensible.
And as if you needed another example of hypersensitivity due to inattentiveness, Bustle.com columnist Elizabeth Strassner titled her little slice of pandering Donald Trump’s Exchange With Reporter April Ryan Could Be A Window Into How He Views People Of Color. Strassner felt the need to ask a few unbiased (yeah right) questions about the exchange:
“What, then, was behind the president’s bizarre behavior? Was Trump just trying to antagonize Ryan or did he actually believe that it was appropriate to order her to set up a meeting with a group she isn’t a member of? Did he just assume — as some on Twitter have suggested — that she was in contact with the CBC because Ryan herself is black?”
To all those on the left, please allow me to translate for you what the President was saying. Your liberal Democratic Congressional leaders -of all races- are obstructionists. They will block this President in every way possible. They are so bitterly entrenched in their battle against the freedom and traditions that so many of us love, that any meeting the President could offer the CBC would only result in someone like Rep. Elijah Cummings standing in front of a camera rambling on about how Trump is an illegitimate President. The President was simply saying that if April Ryan could organize a real meaningful meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus, he’d be there. Good luck to Ms. Ryan or anyone else who might decide to try. And for those of you on the left that want to prove that YOU don’t see African-Americans as a monolith that all think alike, trying spending some time with Dr. Ben Carson or Judge Clarence Thomas and tell us all how many times you’ve come to their defense after they were attacked for their views.
